Crystal Colors and Meaning

The color of natural crystals and stones has a lot to do with the energy they hold. As you may know, color theory tells us the colors are separated into warm (red, orange, yellow), cool (green, blue, purple), black and white, and rainbow. Color theory also describes the way real crystal colors influence our energies. The color of a crystal can help influence its energetic properties and vibration.

All matter in the universe is made up of energy and as such, it projects vibrations at various frequencies. Crystals are no exception to this and their high vibrations can help humans raise their internal vibrations which helps our mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.

Crystals and natural gemstones possess RECEPTIVE and PROJECTIVE energies and one is usually expressed more strongly than the other. Crystals interact with the energies within and around us (vibrations) and can aid us in certain ways. For example, natural black obsidian can keep us protected from the negative energies by repelling them while Black Tourmaline absorbs these negative energies, preventing them from getting tangled up with ours. Natural or "real" crystals are predictable in what vibrations they will receive or project but dyed or treated crystals can also be just as beneficial.
